Update

Update on Production of Film Opening Sequence

The first script for the sequence was created based around the first storyboard and a second storyboard will be created based on the shot list

A Moonboard of costumes that the main characters will wear is created to help with production and casting

Auditions for the 2 main roles occurred with screen tests along with them to determine the cast

Roles were assigned in our group to ensure everybody takes part

A second storyboard was created to fit in with new changes made

A shot list was created describing each individual shot that we plan to use to help with actual filming

Locations were visited with photos taken to make sure they fit with the story and opening sequence

Practice of filming via the sweded clip

Music options have been explored to suit the genre of the film

Sweded

Sweded

A sweded movie is the short and summary version of popular pop-culture films using limited budgets so a majority of time props are handmade.

The term ‘sweded’ became popular after the release of the film ‘Be Kind Rewind’ which focuses around a DVD rental store where an employee’s friend accidently erases the content of all the videos in the store leaving the two, to hastily recreate the films in a ‘sweded’ style using cheap special effects.

The basis of our group swede was a clip from a TV show called ‘Cutting It’

Here are two attempts;

Location and Risk Assessment

Location

Here’s the location video for the Drama Theatre which will be used for the basis of the shoot.

Location pictures of an outside location that can be used for the scenes with the dead body.

The scenes of the body from establishing shots or long shots will be shot here because the location is quite isolated and surrounded by trees making it a perfect place for a body to be dumped.

Here is a closer look at the location where the body will be shown from a close up - the area is isolated and overcrowded with bushes and plants where the body can be covered up.

Benefits of the location: quite isolated so no distractions or noises whilst filming, a lot of natural light for shooting and the background is plain with no posters in it so focus is solely on the body.

Drawbacks of the location: location alongside with weather will make shoot very windy which may interfere with shooting and there may be some dangers surrounding the location as plants are surrounded by water which has no barrier around it.
